Fairhaven Bears

The bears range in size from 5- 20 inches. The small ones are 
hand stitched, and the large ones are done on a sewing machine.
All bears are marked by the Fairhaven apple insignia and feature
 the following:

Fully jointed and made of German mohair.

Antique  button eyes

Hand-embroidered  noses of pearl cotton thread.

The bellies are filled with plastic pellets and 
copper bb's for weight. 
Other parts are poly filled for plushness.

About mohair

Mohair fiber  is long, lustrous, strong, resilient, and durable. 
It has a luxurious feel and richness.  Since it is a natural fur made
from the fleece of the angora goat, the feeling of touch is much more
pleasurable than that of synthetic fur.  
Fairhaven bears are made with German mohair varying in length
 from 1/4 to 1 inch.
The softness and touchability paired with the feeling of weight
 makes for an irresistibly huggable bear.

Bears contain small parts that may be hazardous to children.

Fairhaven bears all handmade mohair teddy bears. They are purposefully designed to look old. The fur is put through a special process of dying and distressing to make it look aged. Rarely are they clothed so as not to cover up the mohair, but when they are the clothing will be made of vintage fabric. Antique accessories are a must in each unique design.
