Boston Baked Beans

1 Lb. Navy Beans

1/4 Lb Salt Pork

1 Ea. Onion, small cross-cut

3/4 Cup Molasses

1/4 tsp. Dry Mustard

2 Quarts Water

Salt and pepper to taste

Soak beans overnight. Simmer beans in same liquid for 1-2 hours until tender. Remove beans from liquid, save liquid. Put beans and remaining ingredients in a covered casserole dish. Add enough of the reserved liquid to cover the beans. Either bake in oven at 500 degrees for 8 hours of simmer on stove top for 8-10 hours. While cooking add reserved liquid asnecessary. Remove onions.
